The Grand Palace is most definitely Grand, in size and in detail. The detail in the architecture and design is intricate and beautiful, certainly fit for a Royal family. The Palace complex is also home to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha are Thailand's most sacred site, and visitors must adhere to a strict dress code.
Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha) is regarded as the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. The Emerald Buddha is carved from a single block of jade, and sits in the meditating position.
The Grand Palace is a must see when in Bangkok, it's spectacular and a tribute to the creativity and craftsmanship of Thai people. You may be able to tell from my photos that I was in awe...enjoy!
